Wind Farm at Stinchcombe
Ecotricity, a Stroud based electricity company specialising in renewable energy, is proposing the development of up to eight wind turbines as a 'Wind Park' within Stinchcombe Parish on what is currently agricultural land between Echo Lane and the railway line. Sainsbury's in Dursley
A phasing plan has been issued for the road works connected with the construction of the Sainsbury's supermarket. The start of these was a couple of weeks behind but they are now underway commencing with the swimming pool junction. The original intention was that Phase 1 and 2, and possibly Phase 3, would be completed before December, with a break then until after the Christmas period. Breakheart Community Project
Two years ago the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust organised a survey to find what interest local schools and other organisations might have in using Breakheart Quarry, on the boundary of North Nibley and Dursley, as a centre for education and recreation. The response was generally positive if improvements could be made to the facilities on the site.
