Parish Council Officer Vacancy

The present Clerk to the Parish Council will be retiring at the end of March 2010 after many years of dedicated service in the post. Neighbourhood Watch
All the main areas of the village now operate a Neighbourhood Watch scheme and there are coordinators for Clingre Down, Taits Hill, The Avenue, The Street, Northfields, Wick Lane and Echo Lane. Many households are participating in the scheme and the opportunity is there for other households who are not yet members in any of these areas to join if they so wish. Excessive Road Signs

The Gloucestershire Association of Parish and Town Councils (GAPTC) is calling upon Gloucester Highways and the Highways department of Gloucestershire County Council to:
a) Liaise with appropriate Town and Parish Councils prior to making decisions in connection with the installation/replacement of road and tourist signs

Stinchcombe War Memorial

Most of the work has now been done on refurbishing the War Memorial at the junction of Wick Lane, Echo Lane and Church Lane. The laying of the gravel surface and installation of the hardwood posts was carried out by the local firm run by Dave and Shane Longstreth on Echo Lane at a specially discounted rate for the parish. New Cotswold Way Brochure

A new 20-page, colour brochure for the Cotswold Way National Trail has recently been produced by the Cotswolds Conservation Board, with funding from Natural England, and included as part of October 2009's Cotswold Life magazine. An additional 5,000 copies have been printed and are being distributed to visitor information centres and libraries over the next few months to highlight the many features, attractions and places of interest along the country’s newest national trail.
